Brene Brown: Listening to Shame

Another beautiful talk by Brene Brown on shame and vulnerability. Her message is a strong one.

  • Inwardly, people see their own vulnerability as shame. Others often see this very same vulnerability as courage… chew on that one for a moment…
  • The birthplace of creativity, innovation, and (adaption to) change is vulnerability.
  • Sharing and understanding feelings are the anecdotes to shame and ultimately strengthen connections to allow them to thrive.
  • Secrecy, silence, and judgment cause shame to grow.
