The first time I caught a glimpse of this beautiful site, I knew it was a place that needed to be added to my “must see” see list!
Havasu falls, part of the Grand Canyon and located in Arizona, gets its magnificent blue-green color from a high calcium carbonate concentration in the water. The waterfall itself is over 90 feet (27 meters) high!
The hike in from Hualapai Hilltop to the campground (just 1/2 a mile from Havasu Falls) is about 10 miles. Pack all the snacks and all the water! Oh, and a tent! You’ll need reservations for this hike and camp out, so make sure you plan ahead!
Imagine camping out, roasting a marshmallow, and plating up the perfect s’more with a view like that!
Watch out Grand Canyon. We plan to see all of you!
